William A. Fisher

May 2, 1957 – Aug 10, 2022

William A. Fisher, 65, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday after an extended illness.  He was born in Salem, OH, son of the late Edgar and Sandra (Sparks) Fisher.  He first married Patty Edwards, who preceded him in death.  He then married Helen Price in 1981.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years; four sons: Christopher of Smithton, John Haddock, James Haddock, and Joshua Haddock, all of Altoona; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Crystal Fisher; and a brother, James Mowery.  He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas.

Bill graduated from Altoona High School and was proprietor of Fisher & Sons Paving.

He was a member of Community Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.          

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, and raising his grandson, Joshie.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday Aug 19, 2022 at Community Baptist Church, Altoona.  Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
