William E. Hoefler

April 1, 1958 - March 25, 2026

William E. Hoefler, 67, of Duncansville, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Gerald and Margaret (Piper) Hoefler.

Surviving are his wife, Patsy Hoefler (Shea) of Altoona with three sons Michael, Alex  and Christopher with grandson Jayden; a sister, Stephaine Scheeler and husband, Max with nephew Max II wife Jaime and family and niece Vanessa Marietti husband Matt and family; a brother, Jeffery and wife, Sondra with nieces Amy Hall and family and Kelly Gnoet husband Derek and family.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Cecelia LaHive and Rita Hoefler Martinez.

Bill was US Coast Guard Veteran. 

He was an avid pool player and played in a tournament in Las Vegas, NV. He enjoyed music, watching football and baseball, socializing, and always had a smile for everyone.

Friends will be received from 10am – 12 noon, Thursday April 2, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a memorial service with Military Honors will immediately follow at 12 noon.

Private interment at Calvary Cemetery.
