William S. Wilt, 64, of Duncansville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, after watching the Steelers beat the Broncos. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Harvey B. and Florence (Moyer) Wilt. He married Bonnie K. Sheeder in 2009.
Surviving are: his wife of 11 years; step-children: Jeffrey Mateer and wife D’Ann of Austin, TX, Kristin Stabolepszy and husband Jeff of Reading; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Aaron, Nathan, Tedd, and Karlee; and a great-granddaughter, Ivy; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill served in the USMC and retired as a Corrections Officer from SCI Smithfield. He was a member of the American Legion Post 24 in Huntingdon, where he served as a member of the Huntingdon American Legion Color Guard. Bill enjoyed bowling and working on cars.
