Zachary Wendt Obituary

Zachary T. Wendt, 27, Newry, died Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of Lorie (Griffith) McConnell and the late Michael Wendt.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Walter, of Newry; his grandmothers: Goldie "Mimi" Griffith of Hollidaysburg and Judith Wendt of Newry; a brother, Theodore J. of Newry; two aunts: Kristie Sheehan (Bill) and Michele Claar; three uncles: Mark, Matthew (Dawn) and Bill Griffith Jr. (Rachel); and two nephews: Harvey and Charlie.

Zach was the leader of the Wild Boiz of Newry. He enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley and dirt bikes. He also enjoyed working in his garage, hanging out at the Wonder Bar and the company of his dog, Gunner. Zach was always the life of the party.

At Zach's request, all services are private. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
