Betty V. (Ritchey) Morgan

Betty V. Morgan, 87, of Duncansville, went home to be with the Lord, Monday morning at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born March  10, 1929 in Blue Knob, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Bowser) Ritchey.

Betty married Francis M. Morgan in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry.  He preceded her in death December 27, 2010 after having shared 64 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen M. McCauley and husband, David; three sons:  Dennis F. and wife, Michelle; Thomas R. all of Fredericksburg, VA; David B. of Duncansville; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Nelson "Jack" Ritchey of Newry; Kenneth of Indiana state and a sister, Ethel Shaw of Newry.

She was preceded in death by three grandchildren; two sisters:  Marie Lingenfelter and Kathryn Imler and two brothers:  Charles "Bill" and Kenneth.

Betty was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Duncansville.

She enjoyed her family; bird watching and growing flowers.

Friends will be received 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg immediately followed by a 1 pm funeral service by Msgr. Robert Saly.  Committal will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Blue Knob.
