Nathan J. Thompson
May 7, 1979 ~ July 15, 2017 (age 38) 38 Years OldNathan J. Thompson, 38, of Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his home.
He was born May 7, 1979 in Roaring Spring, son of Willard J. and Donna L (Snyder) Thompson. Nathan was twice married, first to Mary E. Ball, then Tamara L. Bressler.
Surviving are his father and wife, Terri L. of Duncansville; his mother Donna L. McCoy and husband Rick of Roaring Spring; a grandmother, Mary Thompson and grandparents Dean and Twila Snyder, all of Duncansville. Also surviving are three daughters: Kaylee Marie, Leah Noelle and Aubrey Leanne Thompson; a brother Jasen and wife, Susan; three sisters: Emily Noah and fiance, Bruce; Courtney Lanzendorfer and husband Adam; Lindsey Romano and husband, Michael; four step-brothers: Paul, Stephan, James and Jonathan Bocianowski.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob Leonard Thompson and a grandfather, Leonard Joseph Thompson.
Nathan was a 1997 graduate of Central High School and was employed as a signalman maintainer by Norfolk Southern Railroad.
He attended Dry Run Independent Baptist Church.
Nathan was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Penn State and Penguins fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
Friends will be received 2-7 pm Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday at Dry Run Independent Baptist Church by Pastor John D. Leatherman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in care of the family or any branch of First National Bank for the future care of his daughters, Leah and Aubrey Thompson.
