Thomas E. Deyarmin
November 4, 1935 ~ May 7, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years OldThomas E. Deyarmin, 81, Duncansville, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 7, 2017, at his home.
He was born November 4, 1935, in Altoona, son of the late Harvey and Mary (Wagner) Deyarmin. On August 4, 1961, he married Janet L. Hale in Martinsburg.
Surviving are his wife, with whom he shared nearly 56 years of marriage; two daughters: Kathleen L. DeGrot and husband, Bob, of Richmond, Va., and Beth A. Muzzie and husband, Steve, of Seanor; six grandchildren: Krista, Mike, Melissa, Josh, Bobby and Beth.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Marie Sweeney, Sue Strehlau, Helen Lawson,Dorothy Fleck; three brothers: Bill, Bob and Don.
Thomas was a 1953 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He retired as a painter/carpenter from Robert Hazenstab Construction, Duncansville.
He was a lifelong member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Duncansville. He enjoyed painting, gardening, NASCAR, puzzles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, the Reverend Jaime G. Olson and Vicar Amanda McCaffery officiating.
