Wilbur F. "Buzz" Amigh Jr.

Wilbur F. "Buzz" Amigh Jr, 68 of Altoona, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at UPMC, Altoona.

He was born August 14, 1948 in Altoona, son of Wilbur F. Sr. and the late Sara Jane (Hewitt) Amigh.

Buzz married Paula R. Haas who preceded him in death April 27, 2010 after having shared 14 years of marriage.

Surviving are his father; two daughters:  Amber Webster and husband Steve; Bobbie J. Murphy, all of Altoona; a son, Billy H. of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren and two sisters:  Beverly J. Aungst of Lakemont and Marjorie A. Ansman of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by: a brother, James N., November 2005 and two brothers in law, both in 2013, Joseph Aungst and Dennis Ansman.

Buzz attended Altoona Area High School.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict.

He retired from Conrail, Juniata Shops as an electrician.

Buzz enjoyed playing cards, weekly, with his family; hunting GinSeng; hunting and fishing, working on cars and spending time with his pup, Sioux.

Friends will be received from 1-4 pm, Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg.

A funeral service will be held, 10 am Monday at the funeral home by Pastor Marcus Mills.  Interment in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood with military honors provided by Blair County Veteran's Honor Guard.
