Frances A. Phillips

Frances A. Phillips, 69, Duncansville, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at her residence.

She was born May 25, 1947,  in Altoona, daughter of the late Jack and Martha Frances (Lehman) Oyler. On January 16, 1971, she married James H. Phillips in Altoona

Surviving are her husband with whom she shared 46 years of marriage; two daughters: Elizabeth A. Nice of Pittsburgh, and Michelle K. Dickman and husband, James, of Altoona; a son, Jack J. and wife, Meegan, of State College; and eight grandchildren: Sofia, Julia, James, Abigail, Maxwell, Ripley, Hudson and Quillan.

Frances was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School, and she graduated from Penn State University with a degree in elementary education. She worked as an elementary school teacher and as an assistant manager at Carmike Theatre, Park Hills.

She was a member of Restored Church of God, and she enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, cooking and singing.

Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Pastor Mike Ciampaglia officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
