Chester C. King, 52, Hollidaysburg, died Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona.
He was born March 11, 1964, in McConnellsburg, son of Pauline K. Nead and the late Dale L. King
In 2004, he married Kimberly (McCartney) Mathews in West Virginia.
Surviving are his wife, Kimberly Mathews-King; two daughters: Stacey M. Klein and husband, Kris, of Gettysburg, and Melinda R. Mathews of Hollidaysburg; two sons: Daniel C. of Duncansville, and Trey J. Mathews of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren; a sister, Carol Clugson of St. Thomas; and a brother, Samuel L. of Mercersburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William in 1971.
Chester attended James Buchannan High School. He was an underground construction foreman for DaVersa Construction, where he was employed for 28 years. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, Father Anthony J. Legarski officiating. Committal will be at New St. Mary Cemetery.
